First of all it must be said that the book is a must buy just only because of the great Oasis album. Speaking strictly of the book itself I have to say that it is not one of the best that I've ever seen: the chord boxes are completely missing and, incredible but true, the rhythm of the first two bars of Wonderwall is wrong (just listen to the song and you'll easily recognise that in the book the pause between F#m7 and A is set in the wrong position); furthermore the up-downstrokes don't match the tab part.
Other than that the book is a good reproduction of the album, but because of those mistakes in my opinion it deserves only 3 stars.
Hi quality book, very accurate in the reproduction of the album (I found only one minor mistake at the beginning of the song "The Shock of the lighting", where on the first 4 strummed intro pattern bars is written a 4 chords change where instead the 2 chords on the first 2 bars should be repeated on the 3rd and 4th too).
Watch out that some songs need an alternate tuning, but in most cases it's only the big E that should be tuned to D (in fact it is always strictly necessary because in the end you could play the song in standard tuning too with a very little change to some chords). Other than that most of the songs are not very diffcult to play, so I think that the book suits everyone.
I think the book is great and has a very accurate guitar tab reproduction of the album.
I found only two little "downsides":
1. In the songs "Lovers in Japan" and "The escapist" the chord boxes at the beginning of the songs are missing (but in fact it's not a problem because in the first case the chords are standard and very simple and in the second case you can use the boxes of "Life in technicolor" that has almost the same chords);
2. In the song "42" the book tells you to tune guitar nr. 2 and 3 in a difficult and not very common way (I think that maybe they would have reached almost the same result with tuning down both E to D and adding a capo at 3rd fret).
Anyway if you like "Viva la Vida" then you should buy this book, it's a great piece of work.
