I agree with the points that Adam makes in his review but I think this book delivers better than 3 stars. The guitar play is based on Keith Richards who plays rhythm. Most of the songs have their solos included and worked to match the tunings. An acoustic song like 'Angie' would have been great, I agree. One thing I don't like is the organ/keyboard they use for the voice on the tracks which gets old very quickly. All in all this is a great book which delivers what it promises - playing guitar with some of the Stones best hits.

This is a fantastic book and a "must have" for any serious Bowie fans. I've really enjoyed learning these songs and my guitar playing has improved because of it. One of the things I like about this book is the technical range of the songs. Rebel Rebel and Fame are easily mastered, Ziggy Stardust and Suffragette City require more work but are well worth the effort, and Jean Genie and Moonage Daydream push you to increase your chops while being rewarded with some great licks. The backing CD is superb and I've often just listened to it while driving in the car. The only bad thing I can say is that more would be better but eight songs sure beats six. Also if you really want to get that original Bowie sound you'll need an Auto-Wah on Fame and a Wah-Wah on Ziggy. No big deal but they do sound better with the right pedals. The 'Play Guitar With' books have always been ahead of the rest and this is another great hit in the series.
