Location/History

We are located about 2-3 minutes from the city centre, on St Benedicts Street. There are some parking spaces right outside the store and there is also St Andrews multi-story car park on the next street.

We are a vibrant store with very knowledgeable staff who are always more than happy to help.

The store was originally a pub, many years ago, and was then taken over by "Cookes Orchestral Supplies". A few years later "Music In Print" took over the store but the name "Cookes Orchestral Supplies" remained and was eventually changed to "Musicroom".

Range

We have a very wide range of music books. Guitar tuition, songbooks, chord books, acoustic and electric books, grade books and classical books. Bass tuition, songbooks and grade books. Drum tuition, songbooks and grade books. Keyboard/Piano tuition, songbooks and grade books.

We have a large selection of DVD's for most instruments including guitar, drums, bass, folk and blues and some orchestral instrument tuition DVD's.

We also have a wide range of tuition books, songbooks and grade books for orchestral instruments including: saxophone, flute, clarinet, violin, cello, trumpet, cornet and many more.

We stock many different instruments. Including: keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars, basses, drums, saxophones, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, cornets, ukuleles, banjos, mandolins and many others.

Services

Our services include: basic guitar repair, restringing instruments such as guitars and violins, brass and woodwind repairs via Andrew Gibson.

We can print off single songs which saves the need to buy a whole book if you only need one song and is 100% legal.

We can also post items out if you cannot get in to the city.

If necessary we can also send instruments via UPS within a 50 mile radius.

We offer a 10% student and teacher discount and we also keep a list of teachers in store.
