The Grade 8 Piano Anthology comprises a broad selection from lists A, B and C of the Associated Board's syllabus.
The Anthology is enhanced by Performance Notes by Norman Beedie, Lecturer in Classical Improvisation at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow, giving guidance and promoting reflection on technical and interpretative matters for each piece.
The volume is further enhanced by Aural Notes provided by Caroline Evans, author of the Peters Edition Aural Test Survival Books and joint editor of the acclaimed sight-reading series, Right@Sight. These notes draw upon music in the Anthology to provide ideal preparation material for the type of discussion topics typically encountered in the aural component of the exam.
