This anthology comprises a selection of sacred choral music by Charles Villers Stanford, a transformative figure in English church around the turn of the twentieth century. In addition to the established classics, this anthology also includes a representative sampling of Stanford's output over the whole span of his career and in every significant genre, from festal pieces for double choir to simple hymn-arrangments.
