The Ballades were composed in the years 1835-1842 and were all published in three editions; English, German and French, during his lifetime.
The Ballades have become increasingly popular in recent years, and are now regularly featured on the programmes of almost every concert performer of note, and are required fare for all serious students of the Piano.
