This album provides varied and very attractive material for players in the earliest stages of learning their instrument. The album contains 16 short pieces which have been contributed by a number of composers who, in their different ways, have each risen to the challenge of writing worthwhile music despite the necessary limitations (of pitch, rhythm, dynamic range etc.) imposed in writing for absolute and near beginners.
