E la don don, Verges Maria (or E la don don, Sweet Virgin Mary) is a sixteenth century Spanish Christmas Carol. It has light, dance-like quality with a driving pulse and, with hand clapping or percussion, an exuberant energy. Edited faithfully by Noah Greenberg and is set for a four-part chorus of mixed voices and baritone solo, with clapping and percussion ad lib. with a Piano accompaniment included for rehearsal.
