Beethoven's musical genius extended to every type of music he wrote, from piano sonatas to orchestral overtures, from symphonies to chamber music. In the latter genre, his brilliance is nowhere more apparent or rewarding than in his marvelous compositions for piano trio.
This volume contains five piano trios, Opp.11, 44, 121a, and WoO 38, and 39, scored for piano, clarinet or violin, and cello.
