This book will enable you to develop the necessary co-ordination with which to play in a variety of Brazilian musical styles. By combining ostinatos with a series of progressive co-ordination studies, it provides challenging material from drummers at all levels. The accompanying CD contains demo and play-along tracks in the popular Bossa Nova, Samba, Baiao and Partido styles, which are often played in 'Latin Jazz' settings. Practising with the play=along track will help you get the feel of the rhythmic style and also help you learn to lock in with other musicians.
