Git On Board / The Gospel Train SSAA

A work of such magnificent fun and exuberant character that choirs will be eager to learn and perform it, whilst audiences will want to ride the train all night!

Originally commissioned by the Cincinnati Women’s Choir, MUSE and its director, Dr. Catherine Roma and has been wonderfully arranged by Jacqueline B Hairston. A fabulous spiritual set for unaccompanied upper voices, though whistles and other effects can be used in support. In fact, the key to performing this spiritual well is with imagination and there are suggestions on how to embellish and ornament your performance with sounds and variations to evoke images of this chuffing and chugging train!
