Location/History

We are situated opposite Waitrose on the main road that leads west from Churchill Square Shopping Centre (five minutes away) towards Hove. We are moments from several bus stops and a short bus ride from Brighton Station.

Temporary parking is possible outside the store for customers collecting large purchases. Alternatively there are car parking facilities at The Churchill Square car park, or at the rear of Waitrose.

The store has been trading for several years and, as some of our customers may remember, is on the site of what was once a large acoustic piano shop.

Range

Musicroom is the most comprehensive music store in Brighton, supplying sheet music, instruments and accessories. Our well stocked sheet music range covers many tastes and abilities: Rock & Pop from classics and favourites to new releases; Classical from eras past and present; Films, Shows and Musicals; graded exam, education and tuition material, including DVDs; and blank manuscript for when you feel inspired yourself.

Our electric and acoustic guitar range covers the popular brands, as do our keyboards and digital pianos, with models to suit beginners and pros alike. Our percussion range includes hand percussion and acoustic and electric drum kits. We stock a selection of brass and woodwind instruments, including recorders, and have an expanded folk selection including banjos, harmonicas, and of course ukuleles!

Services

The staff at Musicroom play a variety of instruments in different situations, giving us a working knowledge of our products and greater understanding of our customers' needs, whether in the class, on the stage or just to enjoy at home. This experience extends to maintenance, including re-stringing, and advice on how best to care for your instrument. For more substantial service and repairs we use a tried and trusted network of local specialists, including a guitar technician, luthier and specialist brass repairer.

Further Information

Musicroom is perfectly situated for the needs of the students of the Brighton Institute Of Modern Music (BIMM), the local West campus of which is only a few minutes along from the store. Our range of accessories for guitar and drums will provide any last minute sheetmusic, string or stick needs on the way to and from lectures.

We aim to cater for all our customers' music needs, particularly the novice and developing musician. We a have a huge amount of resources available to us to help us best serve your needs, including close networking with our other stores, liaising with sheet music publishers and instrument distributers, and our access to the increasingly popular sheetmusicdirect.com.
