Yamaha is offering stressed out workers in London the perfect lunchtime escape with news that it is planning the return of its hugely popular, critically acclaimed recital programme. Now in its tenth season, the concerts will take place at Chappell’s in Wardour Street, Soho.
The performances will showcase the very best upcoming young piano talent from UK Conservatoires including the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity College of Music, as well as the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Yamaha Artist Services Europe said.
It could prove to be a popular escape for classical music lovers in the capital who are looking to see some of the country’s best upcoming talent performing the likes of Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Bach, Brahms and Tchaikovsky.
The concerts have received widespread critical acclaim from some of the capital’s top musicians, music professors and record labels since they first started.
Taking place in one of London’s most intimate and historic concert settings, the first performance takes place on May 5th, with the last planned on June 23rd.
Yamaha notes that the Lunchtime Conservatoire Concert Series happens to coincide with Chappell’s bi-centenary celebrations that will see a number of evening concerts featuring classical recitals taking place.
Entry to the lunchtime recitals is free of charge but booking in advance is highly recommended, the manufacturer added. The concerts will take place in the Recital Room of Yamaha Artist Services Europe, located in the Piano Hall at Chappell’s.
