Instrument manufacturer Yamaha has teamed up with its flagship UK store Chappells of London to host a series of concerts.
The ninth edition of the critically-acclaimed Lunchtime Conservatoire Concert Series aims to showcase the very best in upcoming young piano talent from music higher education institutions around the UK.
And for classical music lovers based in the capital, the series of concerts could be the perfect opportunity to enjoy a lunchtime break away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Musicians from the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow will be performing over the course of the programme.
The opportunity for budding young artists to showcase their work and classical talent in one of London’s premier venues ensures that the quality on display is of the highest ilk, the manufacturer adds.
All recitals over the course of the programme will commence at 1pm and while entry to the concerts is completely free of charge booking in advance is highly recommended due to the popular nature of the shows on offer.
Yamaha revealed that the concerts will take place in the Recital Room of the Chappells store, which is located in the historic Piano Hall on Wardour Street.
The next recital will see Helen Nicholas – from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance – perform Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt on November 18th. This is followed by Carlisle Anderson-Frank on November 25th and Polina Bogdanova on December 9th.
