The four-piece will contest the best album, international band, video, single and live performance categories at the event, which takes place in London on Thursday June 9th.
Commenting on the nominations, the band said: “The UK has always been one of our favourite places to play as a band.
“We are so grateful for these nominations and the continued support from Kerrang!, its readers and our fans. Thank you for the recognition.”
Both are up for four awards, while Welsh metal group Bullet For My Valentine and Sheffield heavy metallers Bring Me The Horizon are nominated in three categories each.
Kerrang!’s deputy editor Daniel Lane said: “It’s been an amazing year for our music and it’s really exciting to see such a diverse range of bands nominated for this year’s K! Awards.
“I personally love the fact that our very own home-grown heroes Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon and The Blackout are going head-to-head with US heavyweights like My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds To Mars and Avenged Sevenfold.”
Meanwhile, rock god Ozzy Osbourne will be honoured as a Kerrang! legend at the ceremony which also marks the 30th anniversary of Kerrang! Magazine.
