A day to go before the start of Musikmesse 2012 and guitarists are already being spoilt for new product releases from the biggest names.
One of the leading brands in extreme guitar and basses, Ibanez have announced a new series of quilted maple instruments ahead of this year’s Frankfurt show.
Players will be able to chose from a number of colours including models in deep red, a sharp silver-grey finish, and a strikingly powerful blue. Combined with the playability of Ibanez’s classic Maple necks, DiMarzio IBZ Humbucking pickups as standard and a 5-way selector able to split the neck pickup, these guitars are sure to sound and feel as stunning as they look.
Other notable features include a low profile Edge-Zero II Temelo with locking nut, removable crossbar, counter-spring and adjustment knob allowing advanced players to easily customize their setup.
Bassists won’t to be left out in the cold either thanks to Ibanez’s new line of ATK800 basses. Continuing their reputation for great build quality, playing feel and clear, full tone, the basses are ash bodied with a 3 piece maple neck, finished in walnut with a rosewood pick guard. The CAP Sonic Arch and CAP Double Humbucker pickups give the instrument a great, deep bassy tone with a crisp and clear high end clarity, sharp enough to cut through the stodgiest of mixes.
If you want to tweak your tone further, or bring even more of an edge into your output, the bass’ onboard ATK N3 3-band EQ system gives you the flexibility and options you need to diall into the sound you demand.
High-quality Ibanez compenents such as Hipshot Machineheads, Premium Fret Edge Treatment and an ATK4 bridge make this bass a tantalising proposition for low-end addicts.
