Ever fancied trying your hand at the accordion? Perhaps you know a friend obsessed with music but unable to play it themselves? Maybe you’re a guitarist who’s always wanted to learn the clarinet, but never knew where to start?
Learn To Play Day on March 31 is the perfect opportunity to take a chance and try something new!
It doesn’t matter about your age, ability or experience. As part of the national Learn To Play Day initiative—a fantastic campaign to get more of the Great British public playing musical instruments—sixteen Musicroom stores will be offering free taster lessons on a huge variety of instruments across the country.
Now is your chance to give music a go or play that instrument you’ve always wanted to play but never dared try!
From absolute beginners looking to discover their first instrument to veterans itching to try something totally fresh and new, all are welcome and encouraged to head down to their local Musicroom stores and get involved.
Some stores have even enlisted the help of chart topping performers and musical experts.
As well as free lessons and advice, many of our stores are offering full, bumper activity days with live music performances, prize draws, goodie bags and giveaways, and special Learn To Play Day discounts and offers.
Check out our list of participating stores below and contact your local Musicroom to book your free lesson today!
York – lessons on everything from bass guitar to brass and beyond! World renowned Saxophonist, Snake Davis (M People, Take That, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé Knowles), top-class brass bandsman Alan Morrison and Master Craftsman Peter Pollard will also be in-store to give lessons, offer advice and answer your questions!
Learn To Play Day is organised by Music For All, a UK music charity focused on giving everyone equal access to learning and playing music.
