Il Est Ne is a traditional French Christmas carol. It was first published in the 1860s, but was almost certainly written much earlier. It has since been arranged and recorded by a range of different artists, including Annie Lennox, Edith Piaf, and John Rutter. It was arranged for SATB choir in 1991 by the American composer and editor Alice Parker (b. 1925), who has been creating music for over seven decades.
