Thoroughly recommended for all pupils who have been learning the piano for a few months. A gentle introduction to the ABRSM graded system and the formal examination environment.

Definitely the best book on the market for junior piano students from ages 4 upwards. Easy to understand and nicely paced for the young student. The monkey puzzles are fun. I use this in combination with Lina Ng's Theory sticker book.

This book is brilliant. All my young pupils love it. I've used it for pupils up to ages 10. A really invaluable tool for teaching theory, plus very reasonably priced.

Book 1 is a brilliant, well-paced introduction to the piano, but I find Book 2 jumps in straight at the deep end with moving hand positions without any gentle build up to this i.e. extension of the thumb or little finger to neighbouring notes. I find that pupils struggle to keep pace with this book, so I usually try to find an alternative to this one wherever possible!

A fantastic book for young pupils up to age 10. Shame there is not a part 3 to this! My pupils all love this book and find theory really exciting. They can't put it down!

I never have any problem getting my piano students to do their theory homework when we're using Lina Ng's books, they are brilliant!

I was really glad when this book was published. I adored the Piano Works CD from the first moment that I heard it. I also use this book for teaching my adult pupils who are around grade 4+ level.

Easy to assemble, feels a bit flimsy and sometimes the top swivels round if you haven't overtightened it.

One of my favourite piano books. Some of the pieces are easier than others - Wim Merten's Close Cover and Nitin Sawhney's Tides being two examples, I would say these are around Grade 6. An amazing collection of eclectic tunes. I hope they bring out some more books in this series!

A beuatiful collection of music from film, covering well known films such as Schindler's List to lesser known films such as Betty Blue and Gattaca. Highly recommended for grades 4 / 5 players.
