I'm a newcomer to double bass drumming and I have tried other books on this subject, but they were all... how can I put this politely?.....very dull!
I wish I'd found this book earlier. It's full of just the right amount of exercises (Not lots of boring repetitive ones) and also gives you examples of practical application of double bass drum playing (Instead of practising stuff that's pretty useless in everyday playing). The CD is also excellent and entertaining. Overall a fab book. If it can help me to play better it can help anyone!

If you're tired of playing the same old fills and licks or bored of practising rudiments and never putting them to good use... just watch and learn!! Pete takes some basic sticking patterns and rudiments and orchestrates them around the drumkit in original and exciting ways you've probably never thought of. Get new ideas, expand the possibilities of your playing or just sit and watch some amazingly fluent and creative playing from one of this country's most underated drummers. He should be a superstar!! An excellent DVD packed full of ideas. You'll love it!
