Some very useful comping concepts. Don is quite right when he says that guitarists play chords most of the time. Some nice licks, I like his style, and Don has a sense of humour with his "Bad Hair Day Blues..." . Not enough time is given to minor progressions though, and there are no backing which would have been nice.

Great value for money! Good navigation, no nonsense, just 50 nice licks. If you change keys the licks can be mixed up or extended. I also found it easy to add my own ideas and improvisations. Bebop, Cool and some "Djanjo" sounding classical ascending lines.

The CAGED system is the key to understanding the guitar. Clearly explained, this video opened up the whole fretboard for me. Aimed at the rock player, but all will benefit. Very good.

The best little book I have read on the subject, easy to follow, not too technical but very practical. A must for any serious jazzer.

All guitar players should own this video! Essential theory clearly and logically explained by Danny Gill. The solos are rock style with jam tracks, but all styles will benefit from this. Superb.

A good addition to the first video. Jamie goes into tapping techniques, which are fine for rock players but seldom used in other styles.

Not a bad introduction to jazz guitar concepts and some good information, but my booklet had a few printing errors which might confuse a beginner. The odd CAGED system shown is not very clear for a new player.

Throw away that pick and use your thumb...! Adrian Ingram really know his jazz guitar. Excellent video, very informative. Wes was a genius, and Adrian shows his great admiration of him. Can I play like Wes yet? No, but I'm still trying...

Adrian is a brilliant player and teacher. Understanding basic chord construction and progessions is essential to any guitarist. One of the best videos.

Eddie knows his stuff, and has a nice sense of humour as well. Some very useful ideas, songwriters would benefit too. The book does get very complicated in the later chapters though (the dreaded modes...). You will need some basic music theory to get the best out of this book. I found some of his cords a real stretch too.
