One of the best anthologies I have seen, an excellent collection for the beginner pianist. What I like is that it is "real" repertoire, not simplifications or arrangements, while being easy enough for pupils approaching grade 1.

This is a good and interesting edition from a historical/musicological point of view, but of very poor musical value. If you are buying this for a young player, there are much better pieces around with far better musical value (e.g. Bach's book for Anna Magdalen or Schumann or Tchaikovsky's Album for the Young also by ABRSM publishing).

An excellent book for the beginner pianist by one of the most important composers of the 20th century. The pieces are beautiful (much better for example than Schumann's music for the Young) and an excellent introduction to the best of 20th century piano music. The only downside is the outdated feel of the paper and quality of the printing and the absence of comprehensive fingerings. I would definitely recommend it!

An excellent edition of a beautiful collection of pieces for the beginner pianist by one of the greatest Romantic composers. Very good quality binding and printing, complete with fingering.

Excellent introduction to rock/jazz/blues sound and rhythm and a very very easy level (pre grade 1). The pieces are nice and musical, pleasant to play and to listen to and very much in character.

This is the second part of the six sonatas by Blavet (sonatas 4, 5 and 6). As with the first three sonatas (by the same editor) the music is nice, but it's a shame about the quality of the edition. This is not a critical edition and is very overpriced for what is a very old and out-of-date edition. Again, the print quality and the quality of the paper is quite poor.
