Ensure you're running Windows Media Player 10 or higher (click Help > About...
to find out your version), on Windows XP. If not, download and install the latest
version from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/
Check that the following options are ticked under Tools > Options...:
- Under the Player tab, check that Connect to the Internet
is ticked.
- Under the Privacy tab, check that the 3rd box down -
usually called Download usage rights automatically is ticked.
- Also under the Privacy tab, check that 'Send unique Player
ID to content providers' is ticked.
If you are using Norton or similar firewall / anti-virus software, check that Windows
Media Player has permissions to access the internet, and that it is not being blocked
in any way.
If this doesn't work, the best option may be to download the free WinAmp player to
acquire the license. The video can then be played back in both Windows Media Player
and WinAmp. WinAmp can be downloaded directly from:
http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client/winamp533_full_emusic-7plus.exe
